Egypt is in talks with Schneider Electric to create a knowledge city in the New Administrative Capital

Egyptian Minister of Communications, “Yasser Al-Qadi”, held talks with the President of Schneider Electric Middle East, “Caspar Herzberg”, to discuss cooperation regarding the Knowledge City, which the Egyptian government is planning to set up in the New Administrative Capital east of Cairo.

The new 312-acre administrative capital is to host research, innovation and entrepreneurship centers focusing on the fields of: advanced digital technologies of Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, embedded systems and electronic design, according to Egyptian Minister Al-Qadi.

The minister added that the city would be a smart city that will improve the use of technology in the design and operation of infrastructure and buildings.

Schneider, the energy management and automation company, will provide solutions that support technology and offers its technical expertise to enhance the skills of Egyptian employees, according to Herzberg.

Worth mentioning that, Schneider Electric is present in over 100 countries, and specializes in Power Management – Medium Voltage, Low Voltage and Secure Power, and in Automation Systems. It provides solutions that combine energy, automation and software.
