Since last March, the Undersecretary of Nuclear Energy, Julián Gadano, assume as president of the state’s Nucleoeléctrica Argentina SA. He is 
the main interlocutor to China for the construction of the nuclear power plant. Nucleoeléctrica Argentina SA (NASA) is responsible for the operation and development of nuclear power plants.
The negotiation with China seeks to move forward with the construction of the Hualong One. The agreement would begin to rule only in 2021, already during the next government. Therefore, the future of the plant will also depend on what happens in the upcoming national elections in October.
