On 12th of October 2016 Russia’s (Hydraulic Machine and Systems) HMS Group signed a contract with India for delivery of pumping equipment for a nuclear power plant which worth a total of US$7million.
HMS Group will deliver eight turbine feed pumps and other pumping equipment’s for the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP) unit 3 and 4 in 2017 and 2018 respectively. HMS Group also delivered the main pumping equipment of KNPP unit 1 and 2 in 2004-2006.
According to CEO of HMS Group Mr. Artem Molchanov, Pumps made by HMS Group for the nuclear power industry have been installed in a number of non-CIS countries, including china, India, Iran, etc. He further added that HMS Group is currently working on a number of other pumping nuclear projects not only in Russia but also in Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and abroad.

Mr. Artem Molchanov:
Mr. Molchanov was appointed as an executive member of the Board of Directors in October 2010. He became the President of HMS Group in 2008. Prior to that he has as one of the founders of the Group held various executive positions within HMS Group since its establishment in 1993. He has more than seventeen years of industry experience. He graduated from the Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics (currently Plekhanov Russian University of Economics) where he gained a degree in industrial economics.
