Following the joint-venture establishment with State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation (SNPTC), and China National Nuclear Power Co., Ltd (CNNP), Zhejiang Zheneng Electronic Power Co., Ltd (ZZEC) joins hands with China Nuclear E&C Group (CNEC) to cooperate on all the high-temperature gas-cooled reactors (HTGR) inside Zhejiang Province. This decision takes effect since after the Board of Directors of ZZEC approving the “bills to establish Zhejiang Sanmen HTGR Plant Company with CNEC HTGR holding company in Zhejiang Sanmen.
Compared to the Gen II plus and AP1000 projects, HTGR is still in the young age. ZZEC once indicated that it will participate in the subsequent reactors in Sanmen site, and also Xudapu NPP under CNNC, as well as contributing to the development of Jin Qimen NPP and Longyou NPP.
