IEC appoints SNERDI for the creation of international standard

State Power Investment Corp (SPIC) recently announced that its subsidiary Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute (SNERDI) was appointed by the International Standards *IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) to  lead the project 63186. This project, known as “Nuclear Power plant—safety instrumentation and control system— recommended design Guidelines of earthquake shutdown system ” has been initiated under the leadership of SNERDI. It will involve 13 experts designated by 8 countries, including the United States, France and Russia.

 

* International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is the international Organization for the development and release of international Electrotechnical Standards, which was formally established in 1906. The National Standardization Administration Committee participates in IEC organization on behalf of China. IEC has an important role to play in promoting national cooperation on standardization and related issues in the field of electrical and electronic engineering and in enhancing mutual understanding among the international countries.
