India approves the third unit of Kakrapar nuclear power plant

Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Jitendra Singh, declared that the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) would commission the third unit of the Kakrapar nuclear power reactor in April.  

The third unit of Kakrapar Atomic Power Station (KAPS) will be 700 MW.
