Invap will build the third Arsat satellite

INVAP and the national state company Arsat (Argentine Company of Satellite Solutions Sociedad Anónima) announced the expansion and construction of a third version of the geostationary communications satellite. The Second Generation Arsat will mainly provide internet service. 

The new president of Arsat, Pablo Tognetti, and the CEO of Invap, Vicente Campenni, met with the Secretary of Public Innovation of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers, Micaela Sánchez Malcolm, and the ICT Undersecretary, Martin Olmos. 

The Arsat-3 had been discontinued in its development by the government of Mauricio Macri 

The third satellite of the geostationary fleet of Arsat will be the first high performance (HTS) to provide mainly broadband over the Argentine territory.
