Jordan next Atomic Energy Forum

The Arab Atomic Energy Association in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Ministerial Arab Council of Electricity of the Arab League and the Arab Union for Electricity, announced the launch of the Fourth Arab Forum on the Prospects of Nuclear Power for Electricity Generation and Seawater Desalination from 10th to 12th October 2017.

The forum will be held in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

The main aims of this forum are as follow:

-To follow up and continue discussions about nuclear capacity to fulfill the increasing demand for energy with stakeholders and decision makers in Arab countries

-To exchange expertise and information about national similarities to study nuclear capacity

-To discuss the relation between energy and electricity, nuclear capacity and the environment.

-To evaluate the progress, safety, nuclear energy supply, and waste management in each reactor.

-To evaluate nuclear capacity programs in Arab countries, exchange expertise and return of experiences to achieve the best results in the national nuclear capacity program.

-To evaluate the potential of building small and medium reactors for electricity generation in Arab countries.
