Jordanian-Saudi nuclear cooperation

The Jordanian Council of Ministers decided on March to approve a memorandum of understanding to study the economic feasibility to build two reactors between King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KA CARE), and the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission (JAEC). The reactor will have two purposes: desalinization of water and production of electricity.

The MOU also included the approval of the research and development contract in the uranium ore mining project in the central region of Jordan.
