Korean companies implement projects for Kuwait electricity grid

According to Korean news reports on June 18th, two South Korean companies are awarded the implementation of projects for the Kuwait electricity grid.

The company “LS Cable & System“, the leading company in the field of wires and cables in South Korea, announced that it has won the implementation of an electricity grid project in Kuwait worth US $ 94.7 million.

Under the contract with the public institution for residential care, LSCNS will establish the electricity grid in Al-Matala, a new town located 40 kilometers north-west of Kuwait City.

Lscns stated that it would supply 400 kV ground cables and carry out related construction work.

The company added that it expects to win additional orders in Kuwait, which plans to invest US $26 billion to develop its infrastructure until 2035.

Taihan Cable Company also disclosed that it received a letter of approval on its bid to implement a US $ 76.8 million electricity grid project in Kuwait by the public establishment for residential care.
