Lands acquisition for Tianwan 5 & 6

Recently, the land for Unit 5 and Unit 6 of Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant, a key provincial project of Lianyungang City, has been submitted for approval by the Ministry of Natural Resources.

The total construction fields of the Tianwan 5&6 projects covers 1065 acres. Actually, the planned land use scale in 2020 is 1065 acres and the planned additional land use is 1002 acres. The land use proposal was submitted fully considering nuclear safety issues. And in addition, it not only fully guaranteed the sufficient land for Units 5 and 6, but also reserved the land for Tianwan Units 7 and 8, which lays a good foundation for the start of construction of Units 7 and 8

In the next step, the Lianyungang Natural Resources and Planning Bureau will continue to work on the project’s compensation and resettlement and land supply to ensure that the project starts in time.
