After China won Hinkley Point C project (HPC), Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang, during a meeting with French president Hollande, stated that China will take the opportunity to maintain a high-level exchange and consolidate mutual trust with France, especially to move forward the cooperation in the field of aerospace, nuclear power and the third market development.
Hinkey is the first Sino-French overseas cooperation in the nuclear sector. EDF and CGN will at the same time promote the Sizewell C (SZC) and Bradwell B (BRB) Projects. It is expected that BRB project will feature the Hualong No.1—or HPR1000.
