Lufeng No.5 starts construction

China General Nuclear Power announced that the Lufeng Unit 5 has carried out the first concrete pouring (FCD) of the nuclear island.

On September 8th, the Lufeng Unit 5 started construction and officially entered the civil engineering stage.

It is reported that the Lufeng No. 5 unit adopts the Hualong No. 1 nuclear power technology, and the capacity of a single unit is 1,200MW. After the construction of Lufeng Unit 5, the company manages 7 nuclear power units under construction, with a total installed capacity of 8,380MW.
