Nuclear Cooperation Agreement between Jordan and the Czech Republic

The Jordanian Minister Council agreed on signing a cooperation agreement with Czech Republic for developing the peaceful use of nuclear energy during its meeting in 9th July 2017. The meeting was led by the Jordanian Prime Minister, Dr. Hani Al Mulqi.

 

The agreement will cover the exploration and mining of Uranium coatings and their use, as well as extracting Uranium from Phosphates. It will also cover the use of nuclear energy for generating electricity and water desalination. Moreover, the two parties will cooperate in primary and applicable research on the use of nuclear energy in agricultural, biological, geological, medical, and industrial sectors. In addition to training workers in the peaceful use of nuclear energy, nuclear security, and radiological and ecological protection.
