Porsche simulates hydrogen power test around the Nurburgring

Porsche is one of the active car manufacturers in the sustainable fuel era. The firm has already started simulated hydrogen tests around the Nurburgring.

The virtual study used a hydrogen-powered turbocharged V8 similar to that used by the Porsche Cayenne and Panamera. The virtual test was conducted using an existing data set from an actual car that was then altered to take account of the virtual hydrogen engine’s new technology.

Porsche claims that the hydrogen engine’s 590bhp is equivalent to the original gasoline unit with a revised turbocharging system and higher compression ratio.
