Putin is a magnet for Bolivia

President Evo Morales and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, tackled recently a short agenda marked by intentions for the Bioceanic Corridor, the issue of lithium and the export of Bolivian products, as well as Bolivia’s interest in being part of the Eurasian Economic Community.

The President expressed his interest to Putin for Bolivia to be part of the Eurasian Economic Community, which is composed of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.

“Why not Bolivia, imports, exports that are part of the strategy of economic integration with Russia, to advance economic integration,” he said.

Putin, after the meeting, said that Russia’s Gazprom could double gas extraction in Bolivia, he also recalled that the Rosatom state corporation will build a nuclear research center in Bolivia.
