Rosatom business in Uzbekistan

Aleksey Likhachev, General Director of the Russian State Nuclear Energy Authority (Rosatom), met recently President Shevket Mirziyoyev, to discuss the details of the construction of a nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan and long-term partnerships in scientific and high technology fields, between scientific research institutes and innovation centers.

Likhachev, who quoted the negotiating power plant contract, delivery time, personnel training and other details, said t the nuclear power plant would be built in in the Nevai province but did not give a date on the construction of the plant.

In December 2017, Rosatom proposed to build two units of  third generation nuclear power plant (VVER-1200) while signing a business alliance in the area of ​​using nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

Iran and Russia energy plan

Iran is going to cooperate with Russia in order to build two Nuclear power plants and this is not the first cooperation. On November 2014 the two sides signed an agreement to build the second part of “Bushehr” nuclear power plant in addition to the expansion in the field of the safe use of the nuclear energy.
