The Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Dr. Mohammad Shaker, said that Russia is currently the best country in the field of the third-generation technology of nuclear energy, stressing that the choice of Russia to implement the Egyptian nuclear program was the result of its successful history in the field of nuclear energy.
Shaker added that the Russian company Rosatom, which is responsible for the construction of El Dabaa nuclear power plant with a capacity of 4800 MW, designed the nuclear reactors with the highest degree of safety to the point that if a plane fell on the reactor will not be affected at all, pointing out that the price agreed by the Egyptian and Russian sides were quite low compared to the possibilities on which the nuclear plant would be built .
The minister pointed out that the Russian offer was the best for Egypt from all aspects, political, economic and social.
