Saudi Arabia is willing to extract Uranium locally

During the International Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Power in the 21st Century in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Hashim Yamani, the President of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy(KACARE), announced that Saudi Arabia is planning to extract Uranium locally as a step towards a self-sufficient economy. He also said that the country has been using Uranium to increase its economy since it has been proven that it is economically sufficient.

Saudi Arabia has been taking solid steps to establish a nuclear program for peaceful uses. It announced previously this year that the first contract for executing the first two nuclear reactors will be signed at the end of 2018.
