Shanghai Electric- KSB joint venture key supplier to NPIC

Nuclear Power Institute of China (NPIC) has recently qualified the Shanghai Electric- KSB joint venture as a key supplier for nuclear pump and valves. The research institute granted to SEC-KSB a certificate of qualified supplier.

The applicable scope of this certificate covers the design, manufacture, sales and service of the nuclear pumps as well as the marketing and service of the nuclear valves.

SEC-KSB’s success is mainly due to its advantages in the design capability (i.e. CAP1000 & CAP1400 RCP), product quality, after-sale service, timely delivery and highly customer recognition, which are all that NPIC cares the most in cooperation.

*NPIC: Nuclear Power Institute of China (NPIC), a subsidiary to China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), is the only large-scale comprehensive R&D base in China incorporating reactor engineering research, design, test, operation and small batch production. Since its foundation in 1965, NPIC has established a complete research and development system, including nuclear power engineering design, equipment assembly and supply of NSSS, reactor operation and application research, reactor engineering test and research, nuclear fuel and material research, isotope production, nuclear technology application research and services, etc.

 

* SEC-KSB: In June 2008, Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. and KSB AG jointly venture established SEC-KSB Nuclear Pumps & Valves Co., Ltd, for specializing in designing and manufacturing nuclear pumps and valves. The technologies for all nuclear Class I, II and III pumps of the Company are provided and kept up to date by KSB AG.
