Significant progress in the Egyptian nuclear energy project

Amgad El-Wakil, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Nuclear Power Plants Authority, stated that cooperation with Russia in the field of nuclear energy is proceeding in full swing, stressing that there is great progress in the implementation of the Egyptian nuclear project.

He explained that the first concrete pour has been laid for three nuclear reactors, and it is expected that the first concrete pour for the fourth unit will be laid before the end of the year, bringing the entire project into the major construction phase.

Al-Wakil added that the reactor trap will be installed on the sixth of next October, as the first long-term equipment to be installed in the project, stressing that cooperation with Rosatom is proceeding excellently, and that implementation is taking place before the planned dates in the planned program for a period ranging from 6 to 8 weeks. .
