Sino-Russian Nuclear Medicine Cooperation

The Sino-Russian Nuclear Medicine Cooperation has a broad future.

In early 2016, Russia succeeded in a treatment test which eliminates the cancer by using the nuclear medicine. Nuclear Medicine, by taking advantage of the radioactive drugs to cure and diagnose kinds of diseases, has achieved remarkable development in both Russia and China in these years. Rosatom has supplied the most requested isotope products in Nuclear Medicine—molybdenum-99, which is widely used in the cancer diagnosis.

Since a very little radioactive substance is used in the Nuclear Medicine, the radiation potential is quite low compared with the X-ray. Besides, at present only Nuclear Medicine technology can improve some serious disease to a large extent.
