TANAP is moving fast

The Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline Project (TANAP), which will transport Azeri gas to Europe, through Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey and Greece and finish in Italy, is the Turkish base of the pipeline projects. Turkey has a 30 % share of Tanap project, a total value of 45 billion USD.
In the framework of the main pipeline tender for 1,850 km passing through Anatolia, 80 % of the manufacturing of the pipeline, one mIllion Tons,  will be supplied by local manufacturers such as Tosçelik, Borusan Mannesmann, Erciyas Boru, Emek, Umran and Nokselin and the remaining part, 200 thousand tons, will be supplied by Baosteel Europe (a Chinese company).
For example, by March 2017, Toscelik Holding, one of Turkey’s global steel producers, has already delivered 475 km of pipes for TANAP. Tosyalı Holding’s flagship ship, Toscelik, has the capacity to produce over 5, 000 metric tons of pipes per minute.
It is planned that the first batch of 6 billion cubic meters gas in TANAP will enter Turkey in 2018, and the first shipment to Europe is planned for 2019.
