The Atomic Energy Agency of Bolivia have begun training at Tomsk Polytechnic University

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation announced that employees of the Atomic Energy Agency of Bolivia have begun training under the program of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU). The course aims to build knowledge and skills for the safe operation of the Multipurpose Exposure Center – one of the facilities of the Center for Nuclear Research and Technology (CNIT) in Bolivia.

Vera Verkhoturova, head of the training program for the operational personnel of the Multipurpose Irradiation Center indicated that teachers of the TPU Nuclear Technology Engineering School have begun training 13 employees of the Atomic Energy Agency of the Plurinational State of Bolivia (ABEN).

The training under the TPU educational program, which is one of the key universities of Rosatom State Corporation is conducted in English.

Among the disciplines studied: the basics of nuclear physics, radiation protection and safety, physical and chemical methods of analysis.

Besides, students will learn technical terminology in English, Spanish, and Russian.
