The center of excellence

The engineers of the country will get an excellent center in Ranchi for research and training in the fields of defence, nuclear, energy, steel and space. Ranchi-based heavy engineering corporation (HEC) inaugurated on June 6 the center of excellence. HEC claimed that it is the first center in the country where information on nuclear, space, energy and other areas will be updated with updated research. the moment, this center is being opened in the engineering institute NIIFT campus of Hatia. The center will offer 225 seats for the participants.

The ministry of heavy industry ministry and the government of Russia are supporting HEC to open this center dedicated to defence, nuclear, energy, steel aerospace, steel melting, heat treatment, non-destructive testing, welding techniques, forging, casting, power plants, special forging for gear manufacturing.

Twenty five experts have been appointed for research and training in the center. Experts, engineers and scientific trainers from Russia, IIT Kharagpur, NIFT, HEC and other foreign companies. Research and information training will be conducted in nine areas in the center. The introduction will be from Advance Welding Course (three to six months for a cost of 75 Thousand rupees, 1100 USD).

With the establishment of the Center, the engineers of HEC and various companies of the country will get new technology and research information. This will not require them to go abroad and take expensive training. Training will develop the skills of the engineers for  nuclear power, thermal power, steel, mining, and other core areas.
