Mr. Zhang Jianhua, former president of China National Petroleum Corporation(CNPC), should be the new director of the National Energy Administration (NEA). His appointment has not been officially announced
After graduating from university in 1986, Zhang Jianhua has been working in the oil industry for more than 30 years. Since July 2016, Zhang Jianhua has successively served as the director, general manager and deputy secretary of the party group of the China National Petroleum Corporation. In June 2017, he was promoted as President of CNPC. In June 2018, he was transferred to the position of executive director and also was appointed as the company’s president.
