The Radiological and Nuclear Regulatory Authority (ARRN) participates in the third Latin American Regional Meeting of the Radiation Sources Regulatory Partnership (RSRP) Program and the United States Nuclear and Regulatory Commission (USNRC), in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from 6 to 10 August.
The meeting is organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Mr. Enrique Páez, Interim Director of the Directorate of International Relations and Projects, participated on behalf of the ARRN.
The objective of the meeting is to share the experience of the bilateral support provided by the RSRP, identify the common needs of the participants of the RSRP country, evaluate the progress in previously developed action plans and develop / update activities for the next 12 to 18 months . Carry out bilateral discussions with existing partners to develop bilateral plans / master plan for Latin America, encourage the exchange of experiences among participating countries, identify common issues of assistance effort and introduce new members to the RSRP.
