The Turkish nuclear Regulatory Authority creates its TSO

Under the Decree-Law 802, the regulator, NDK has now the responsibility to assess, monitor, and approve the activities of any enterprise working in the field of nuclear energy and ionizing radiation.

The NDK board, which is the decision-making body of the institution, has five members.

NDK will carry out various services such as analysis, consultancy, supervision, training, and certification. NDK will establish a Technical Safety and Support Organization, the Nuclear Technical Support Joint Stock Company (NÜTED) for the execution of these services.

At least 51% of NÜTED shares belong to NDK.
