Thorium in Brazilian PWR

Professor Claubia Pereira, from the Nuclear Engineering Department of the School of Engineering at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), sent a publication from her research group using thorium in a pressurized water reactor. 

The PWR reactor is the type used in the Angra 1 and Angra 2 nuclear power plants, installed at the Almirante Álvaro Alberto Nuclear Power Plant (CNAAA), in Angra dos Reis, in the State of Rio de Janeiro. Download the research here.
