TSKBM sent spare parts to Iran to the main pump unit of the reactor plant of Bushehr NPP

The JSC “TsKBM” (part of the engineering division of Rosatom – Atomenergomash) shipped spare parts for Bushehr NPP (Iran). A set of graphite linings and bearings of the main circulating pumps ГЦНА-1391 were sent to the power plant.

The special type of graphite is used in radial-axial bearings. This allows the bearing to be lubricated with water, not with oil. The absence of oil eliminates the possibility of fire and makes the pump fireproof.

Graphite blanks undergo mandatory preliminary tests at the production site of the Central Committee of the Central Committee. After processing and lapping, the finished pads are again tested and collected in upper and lower support cushions that are sent to the customer. The service life of the bearings is more than twenty thousand operating hours under conditions of high temperatures and heavy loads: the bearing unit withstands a force of up to 70 tons, which is due to the considerable pressure in the primary circuit of the reactor installation.

For 70 years, the Central Design Bureau has been designing and creating high-tech equipment for the nuclear industry: the main circulating pumps, hermetic, cantilever, nutrient and emergency pumps for nuclear power plants, as well as a wide range of remotely controlled transportation and processing equipment for handling radioactive materials.
