Tunisia awarded for the research on Zirconium fuel assembly

Tunisian researcher Dr. Nesrine EL Gharby obtained Jean Bourgeois Award for her research in the scope of her doctoral thesis on the effect of deformation under irradiation of high dose of zirconium alloy fuel assemblies for nuclear pressurized water reactors. The French Society of Nuclear Energy (SFEN) gave her the award.

Nesrine said she did her researches in the Institute of Applied Metal Research in the Department of Nuclear Energy and alternative energies in the CEA research center of Saclay .She did so in partnership with Areva (AREVA) the giant multinational group in the nuclear power, and under the supervision of Xavier Feugeas (University La Rochelle) and MM.Fabien Onimus and Thomas Jourdan from CEA.
