Tunisia is Exporting Solar Energy to Europe

The British company, NUR Energy, won the execution of the largest solar energy power plant in the world in Rajeem Matooq region in Tunisia.

The company announced that the project will generate 4.5 GW of electric power that will be distributed to Tunisia and other European countries. The first exportation process will be exporting 250 MW to Malta through undersea cable. Then exporting 2000 MW to France and 2000 MW to Italy. The project consists of heat storage technology that works at day and night.

The energy company declared that Tunisia produces 20% better solar energy than the best solar energy spot in Europe. Rajeem Matooq is also a great spot of the power plant since it receives double solar energy than the best spot in Europe. It assured that Tunisia will have a share in this project. The project will provide 5 Million European houses with electric power.
