The Turkish Ministry of Customs and Trade announced the provisional administrative data on trade in June 2017:
In June of 2017 compared to the same month last year:
- exports increased by 2.07 percent to USD 13.159 billion,
• imports decreased by 1.53 percent to 19.180 billion USD, foreign trade volume decreased by 0.09 percent to 32.339 billion USD,
• foreign trade deficit decreased by 8.57 percent to 6.021 billion USD.
Most exported chapters are respectively:
• motorized vehicles, tractors, bicycles, motorcycles, other land vehicles (2.151 billion USD)
• boilers, machinery, mechanical appliances and tools (USD 1.141 billion USD)
• precious or semi-precious stones, precious metals, pearls (973 million USD)
Most imported chapters are respectively:
• mineral fuels, mineral oils and their preparations (2.533 billion USD),
• boilers, machinery, mechanical devices and tools,
• nuclear reactors (2.208 billion USD) and
• precious or semi-precious stones, precious metals, pearls (2,047 billion USD)
The most exported countries were respectively Germany, United Arab Emirates and USA respectively.
The countries with the highest imports were China (1.924 billion USD), Germany (1.642 billion USD) and Russia (1.385 billion USD).
The transportation patterns of exports realized in June of 2017 are as follows:
• maritime transport (7.440 billion USD)
• road transportation (3,744 billion USD)
• air transport (1.481 billion USD)
The transportation patterns of imports carried out in June of 2017 are as follows:
• maritime transport (11.742 billion USD)
• air transport (3.362 billion USD)
• road transportation (3.062 billion USD)
