Urgent meeting at the Egyptian Cabinet regarding Dabaa

The Egyptian Cabinet held a meeting on Monday, 18th September, with assigned members from the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity to finalize the latest legal and constitutional notes on the Dabaa NPP’s contract with the Russian “Rosatom.”

An Egyptian official announced that all Dabaa NPP’s contracts will be signed by the end of 2017. Also, there were always negotiations carried out alongside with the contract.

Mr. A’ Sayid Hajazi, a member of the Energy and Environment Committee in the Egyptian Parliament, confirmed that the committee will start discussing the Dabaa NPP’s contracts with Russia next October. He stated that the discussions will last for two weeks and that it is predicted that the contracts will be signed by the end of October 2017.
