WANO president visits CGN

On December 3, CGN president He Yu met with Jacques Regaldo, president of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) in Shenzhen. The meeting is focused on the promotion matters of WANO-Shanghai Center.

According to Jacques Regaldo, WANO organization is working on its *fifth regional center in Shanghai, which is expected to put the spotlight on nuclear development in Asia and help Asian members play a bigger role in the association.

He Yu stated that CGN will continue to support the construction of WANO-Shanghai Center as always, and hopes that WANO will be able to formulate a plan suitable for all parties during the construction.

Two sides also exchanged views on how WANO can establish formal partnerships with China Nuclear Energy Association and jointly conduct nuclear power plant reviews.
