Russia cooperation with Kuwait

Kuwait is planning to build one of the largest plants to reprocess liquid gas to its normal condition “gaseous” which opens out enormous field to collaborate with Russia.

Alexander Novak, the Russian minister of energy, discussed cooperation projects in Oil & Gas fields in Kuwait, and pushed forward the support in peaceful nuclear energy sector.

Novak announced, after his meeting with the Minister of Oil, Essam Al Marzouq in Kuwait city, that both countries, which alread signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy field in 2010, will conclude a framework agreement in this context as soon as possible.

Minister Novak invited the Kuwaiti counterparts to visit Russia to discuss whole cooperation issues in this field.

Finally, Mr. Novak stated that Russian companies have a strong interest in exporting liquefied natural gas to Kuwait, and to increase the efficiency of oil production in the Kuwaiti fields by applying Russian technology of extraction.
