UAE is Testing its First Nuclear Reactor

Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporations announced the second power plant in “Barakah” reactor has been successfully tested. The power plant went through a smooth cold test.
“Barakah” is considered the first site, worldwide, that has 4 nuclear power plants under construction at the same period of time. The project is located in Western Abu Dhabi.

UAE is the first Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country to build nuclear power plants. The country also created “Nawah Energy,” a new company that will be operating the power plants at “Barakah.”
