Rosatom proposed the VVER-600 reactor to Saudi Arabia

At the end of 2017, Russia and Saudi Arabia signed a roadmap on cooperation in the field of the peaceful atom. The agreement was concluded between the State Corporation Rosatom and the King Abdullah Nuclear and Renewable Energy Research Center.

On July 15th, during the meeting of the intergovernmental commission, Rosatom proposed to Saudi Arabia a project of a medium-sized nuclear power plant: the VVER-600.

The exportable medium-size products of Rosatom is the low-power ground-based nuclear power plant with a RITM-200M reactor installation, also used in the Floating Nuclear Thermal Power Plant.
