SNERDI goes back to school

On March 18, 2018, Shanghai Nuclear Engineering and Research and Design Institute (SNERDI) and Shanghai Jiaotong University signed a new round of strategic cooperation framework agreement. The President of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Lin Zhongqin, The Deputy General Manager of State Nuclear Power Technology Corp. (SNPTC) and the President of SNERDI Zheng Mingguang, the Vice President of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Xi Lifeng and the Vice President of SNERDI Chen Yu also attended the ceremony.

The new round of strategic cooperation framework agreement signed by Lin Zhongqin and Zheng Mingguang on behalf of both parties will focus on the fields of science and technology research, discipline construction, high-level talent cooperation, nuclear power engineering and technology research center construction, and further expansion of bilateral cooperation, and especially, to bolster the construction of Shanghai Science and Innovation Center.

Zheng Mingguang said that along with the development of the Shanghai Science and Innovation Center, both sides should further strengthen cooperation in R&D and promotion of different types of reactors including CAP1400, marine nuclear power platforms, cogeneration (combined heat and power), and heating reactors.
