According to the latest news of the State Power Investment Corporation, the “CAP1400 steam generator development” project in the “large-scale advanced pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant”, which was led by the national science and technology major project, has broken through the core equipment of this independent three-generation nuclear power industry after four years of research.
The Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute (SNERDI) affiliated to the State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) joined with Dongfang Electric, Shanghai Electric, China Yizhong and Erzhong Group to develop the CAP1400 steam generator.
The project accumulated a large number of test data and process parameters, and obtained 52 intellectual property achievements such as patents, technical secrets, papers, and corporate standards, and formed 417 technical reports, 23 test pieces and prototypes, and trained a steam generator design.
The professional team of manufacturing and testing laid an important foundation for the continuous innovation of steam generators. The research results of the project have been successfully applied to the manufacture of CAP1400 steam generators and other large-scale equipment, forming the localization ability of the third-generation nuclear power main equipment.
