The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research opens at the AAEA headquarter

During the 14th Arab Conference on the Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy in Sharm El-Sheikh (Egypt), the Arab Atomic Energy Agency (AAEA), signed a memorandum of understanding with the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in the field of support for the peaceful uses of atomic energy.

Dr. Salim Al-Hamdi, Director General of the Arab Authority, said: “JINR has also expressed its enthusiasm to receive five students from different Arab nationalities to conduct qualitative nuclear tests in Its facilities in Dubna. The signed memorandum of understanding stipulates the establishment of an information center on the activities of the Institute at the headquarters of the AAEA in Tunis in order to identify all the new nuclear technologies in all fields to support the peaceful uses of atomic energy.”
