Last September, Cuba and Russia signed several cooperation agreements in the Palace of the Revolution in the presence of the president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, and the Prime Minister of Russia, Dimitri Medvedev:
- Agreement on scientific-technical and innovative cooperation.
- Creation of an irradiation center in Cuba.
- Agreement on financing the supply of rolling mill for the production of steel and wire armor.
- Protocol for the customs of the two countries to participate in the fight against air traffic violations.
- Agreement on the financing of air navigation maintenance projects for Russian aircraft operated by the Corporación de Aviación Cubana SA
- Agreement between the Russian Railways Corporation and the Cuban Railways Union.
- Rehabilitation and modernization of the railway infrastructure of the greater of the Antilles.
