A new head at the Indian Atomic Energy Commission

Kamlesh Nilakanta Vyas has been appointed in September as the Secretary of the Department of Atomic Energy and the President of Atomic Energy Commission.

According to the order issued by the Ministry of Personnel, the Appointments Committee of Cabinet has approved their appointment until May 2021.

After training at the Bhaba Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in 1979, he was associated with BARC’s Fuel Design and Development Section of Reactor Engineering Division.

Vyas is graduated from MS University in Vadodara in Mechanical Engineering.
