A Saudi Korean agreement to establish green hydrogen projects

The Saudi ACWA Power company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korean Electric Power Company (KEPCO), to develop projects for green hydrogen and its derivatives of green ammonia.

The agreement aims to decarbonize KEPCO’s power generation operations in South Korea.

The Korean company intends to use the final product of green hydrogen to power its power plants in South Korea, on the condition that KEPCO’s generation companies give up green ammonia from the potential project.
