Algeria appoints a new chairman at the Electricity and Gas Regulation Commission

Mr. Rachedi Menadi was appointed chairman of the Electricity and Gas Regulation Commission (CREG) to replace Mr. Abdelaali Badache.

The Minister of Energy, Abdelmadjid Attar, who appointed the new president of the CREG, in the presence of the CEO of Sonelgaz and executives of the Energy sector, indicated that it was urgent to react to the numerous requests from industrial investors and farmers, relating to the electricity connection, while specifying that these connections will allow the creation of activities generating added value and employment positions.
