CGN and EDF cooperation in renewable energy

China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN) and EDF signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for deepening cooperation in Paris. CGN President He Yu and EDF President Mr. Jean-Bernard Lévy attended and witnessed the signing. Liu Yuguang, deputy general manager of CGN Europe Energy, and Fu Kaide, chairman of EDF China, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.

The signing of the memorandum of cooperation will further promote mutual trust and cooperation and is aiming to seek new cooperation opportunities and projects in the field of renewable energy such as offshore wind power and solar photovoltaic in both China and Europe.

After the signing ceremony, He Yu and Lévy discussed the progress of the current cooperation projects and issues of common concern, especially the cooperation of wind power and solar projects, as well as the issues of establishment of China-France Friendship Foundation.

Fabrice Tempier, general manager of EDF China Nuclear Power Division participated in related activities.
