Emirati German cooperation to explore renewable energy markets

The Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company “Masdar” and the German company “RWE Renewables” announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding aimed at exploring cooperation opportunities to develop offshore wind energy plants in a number of key markets.

According to Mohamed Jamil Al Ramahi, CEO of Masdar, this agreement will contribute to consolidating the existing relationship between Masdar and RWE, which previously worked together on the London Array offshore wind project, which is one of the largest of its kind in the world.

For his part, Markus Kreiber, CEO of RWE, stressed that accelerating the transformation process in the energy sector is essential to confront the energy crisis and the problem of climate change, and this is what the company is doing through its huge investments in renewable energy sources, either alone or in cooperation with its partners.
