Furthering cooperation between Dubai and India in renewable energy

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), during his participation in the twenty-fourth session of the World Energy Conference in Abu Dhabi, received Subhash Chandra Garg, Indian Minister of Energy, leading a high delegation that included Vivek Duangan, undersecretary of the ministry, in the platform of the authority in the exhibition of the conference.

Al Tayer welcomed the Indian minister and the accompanying delegation, pointing out that Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is seeking to strengthen relations and continuous cooperation with Indian institutions and companies from the public and private sectors, especially working in the renewable energy sector.

Indian minister praised the efforts of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority to improve the country’s energy sector and in Dubai in particular, and expressed his admiration for the services and facilities provided by the Authority and stressed the strengthening of cooperation between the UAE and India in projects and areas of renewable and clean energy.
