MoU between Gabon Power Company and Perenco

On April 6, 2023, was held at the Ministry of Oil the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the companies Gabon Power Company and Perenco, under the auspices of the national energy and financial Gabon, represented by the Ministers in charge of Oil, Vincent de Paul Massassa, Economy, Nicole Jeanine Lydie Roboty, and Energy, Séverin Oswald Mayounou.

This agreement consists in formalizing the collaboration between Gabon Power Company and Perenco within the framework of the development of the Mayumba natural gas power plant project. It is also in line with the State’s ambition to develop an additional 250M MW of sustainable and accessible electricity for all.

This thermal power plant is an eco-responsible infrastructure designed to support a decarbonized and sustainable energy transition for all.
Gabon Power Company, created in 2015 by the Gabonese Strategic Investment Fund (FGIS), is a holding company dedicated to financing energy, drinking water production and sanitation infrastructure projects.
