New Leader at NNSA

It is declared that Mr. Liu Hua, the previous Chief Engineer of the Nuclear Safety in the Ministry of Environmental Protection, has been promoted to be the Director General of the National Nuclear Safety Administration (NNSA) in replace of the former Director Mr. Li Ganjie who has been transferred to Hebei Province.

 

Introduction of Liu Hua

Mr. Liu Hua, born in Beijing in 1959, graduated from the Nuclear Radiation and Physics of the National University of Defense Technology in 1982. In 1987, he got the postgraduate degree of the Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Major of the China Institute of Atomic Energy.

 

Mr. Liu Hua has worked for the Nuclear Industry Ministry, the National Nuclear Safety Administration, the Chinese Embassy in USA, the Nuclear Safety Center and so on since from 1982.

 

  • 1999-1: Deputy Director of the Nuclear Safety Center of NNSA
  • 2001-7: Deputy Head of the Nuclear Safety Management Division
  • 2007-4: Director of the Nuclear Safety Management Division
  • 2011-11:  Director of the Nuclear Facility Safety Management Division
  • 2013-5: Nuclear Safety Chief-engineer of the Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP)
  • 2016-12: Vice Minister of MEP and the Director General of NNSA
